Holy place sans God
I found temple in dilapidated condition
It stood with neglect in isolation
No one visited it for number of years
People said “it aired in past hymns to please ears”
I dared to venture inside
The platform was very wide
But the God was missing
No idol, no trace or anything
It might have been famous in past
But why did it land in such condition at last?
I had no clue to come to the conclusion
But certainly it raised lots of questions
There are many holy places in the country
Where they have been without the presence of almighty
Either the followers had left coming over
Or there was no one for welcoming
It is question of true belief
The attachment is always with faith
It gives some sort of relief
When visited there even for brief
I can consider it as mere structure
What happens if soul is noticed no where
No mercy, no kindness or feelings for mankind
What can we call human life of such kind?
Any sacred place is called no sacred place
Until it has some followers in race
Who come daily and make it more holy
Worship with good faith and own wholly

Eli Snyder16 minutes ago I like it, however, the rhymes that you wrote into the poem, were quite distracting to me, because of the irregularity of them.
