Home And Away Poem by Yvonne Rautenbach

Home And Away

Homesick

You are all
You are all so far away
and I am still standing
outisde looking in
In my head, in my heart in my soul.
Was I ever in.? .Always out
Never watched Magic Roundabout
The eldest plagued by the youngest
And sorry for the middle one.
I am in awe
You are all some distant play
And I am standing
at the back alone
In my head, in my heart in my soul
I was never cast, never chosen
In the cold always frozen
The black sheep who left its shepherd
And slaughtered with critique
The Family View
But you are all
though all so far away
And I am musing almost planning
Inside looking forward
To those trivial family plays
To returning almost yearning
For that door
