Honeymoon Poem by Paul Sebastian

Honeymoon

Every Christmas comes
To awake fresh memories of us
Decorating the Christmas tree…
Blinking lights glowing on our faces
Tying presents with red and green laces
Talking about the future we’d take
The cookies and cakes you’d make
Sharing red wine together
Recalling some silly things said
Laughing and poking at each other,
Grooming the night as it got colder
Sitting tight making ourselves warmer
Our hands speaking our love
Stealing kisses and the embraces
Wine breaking our inhibitions
Escalating love finding expressions
Stealing tender kisses and the embraces
Hearts rousing pent-up emotions
The night we groomed and celebrated
First night for us two
I became the gift for you
You became the gift for me
You and I lost in blissful eternity
