If I were a United States Congressman
I would want to be an honorary member
Of the Squad, which stands for equality, justice
Fairness, freedom, peace, dignity, respect, love
And the great values that America the Beautiful and
The Statue of Liberty in New York used to stand for.
With the ultra-right wing and the führer in power
Unfortunately, America is now mislabeled
Injustice is ubiquitous, divisiveness is preached
With countless daily common tweets, ICE officers
With daily raids remind us of the Gestapo regime
Thousands of immigrants are incarcerated in filthy camps
Quasi-concentration camps, some Jewish groups
Criticize the unsanitary conditions that God's children
Seeking a better future find themselves in, unlike the Irish
The Italians and others who were fleeing poverty, hunger
And persecution within the last couple centuries.
The Squad loves America, the one that existed before
The Squad does not hate America, I repeat
The Squad does not hate America, on the contrary
The Squad wants a better, fairer, more equitable
And more beautiful America for everybody who is
Living and working in America. America gets better and
Stronger when She is criticized. The four original members
Of the Squad are super smart, progressive and amazing
They are not afraid to ask the tough and relevant questions
And to criticize the inhumane policies, the nefarious tweets
And the strange rules of the current administration or regime
Whose leader or famous fuehrer (used to and)to this day
Is still unfairly criticizing Obama and his administration.
Many ultra-right wingers are scared of the so-called
Squad: the four beautiful Congresswomen of color
These legislators are classy, modern, stylish, resilient and brave
They're not violent, but they kick butts and they kayo nonsense
They fear no one; they scare the daylight out of Chump
They are not afraid of the oligarchy, the status quo
And they want positive changes and a better America for All.
