Hotline Poem by Frederick JB Moore II

Hotline

Rating: 5.0

I'm alone.
I've always been alone,
And that's not alright.

It pains me
To drive everyone away.

It lowers my ambitions.

It makes me love far too quickly-
And too easily.
There's nothing wrong with an eager heart,
But it's broken far too casually.

Loneliness keeps me awake at night
And drives me mad in the waking-hours.

I feign strength to attempt normality...
But the strong can tell.

I'm always alone.
