How I Love The Dandelion Poem by Marilyn Lott

How I Love The Dandelion

Rating: 4.0

Okay, I know just what you're thinking
That it is only a weed
It too has grown through twists and turns
It too started from a tiny seed.

It is hearty and its struggles seem easy
For it rises above all the rest
When put beside and regular flower
It surly will win any test.

But look at it, my friend, for a bit
The flowers look just like the sun
Brilliant yellow to brighten the day
It makes me smile ‘cause it is such fun.

My son brought me the first one he saw
Each spring and I put it in a vase
I hope you think about it in a happy way
For I wrote this poem just in case.
