How Much More Should I Love You? Poem by Danny D

How Much More Should I Love You?

How much more should I love you?
To prove to you what my love means
How much more can I love you?
Before you believe what to me you mean

Close to my heart is where I always held you.
Deep in my soul is where I kept you safe.
In the palm of my hands is how I carried you.
As the apple of my eye is how cared for you.

Like my queen is how I treated you.
Like an angel from up above is how behold you.
Like a precious gem is how I treasured you.
Like dear life itself is how I hang on to you

My love for you is deeper than all the oceans put together
My love for you is higher than the entire mountains put together.
My love for you is wider than all the skies held together.
My love for you is stronger than all the iron rods joined together

I need you like the trees need the sun
I miss you like the deserts miss the rain.
I thirst for you like the dry tongue thirsts for water
I love you like Romeo loved Juliet.

How much more should I love you?
Before you fall in love with me again.
