Reflection In The Rearview Mirror Poem by Danny D

Reflection In The Rearview Mirror

Ten seconds in rear-view mirror is all I get.
To see your lovely face so that I don’t forget
How graceful you always looked and once again.
But your reflection was the best I could bargain.

A part of me wanted to just drive away.
So that I don’t get in your way.
A part of me wanted to stay.
And ‘look my way” is what I did pray.

But your eyes strayed and didn’t look straight.
As I tried to look into you eyes under the clear daylight.
I always wish that you somehow pass my way.
I guess today was my lucky day.
