How She Seemed Poem by Blair Flynn

How She Seemed

She seems so happy
Her smile could fill up an entire room with joy
However, deep down, her soul bleeds doom
And she has been used as if she were a child's toy

Oh sure, in public she laughs and makes a scene
She wants all the people around her to be blissful
Only a selected few know of the melancholy that screams in her soul
And how she whispers to herself 'What have I ever done to feel like this? '

Her eyes shine so bright
They seem to contain a bright twinkle of glee
She is kind and only to herself is she cruel
And all she wants to do is flee from her own body

All of her smiles and laughs
They are all nothing but a tangled up lie
To most, she seems like a strong free sprit that cannot be tamed
And to few, she wishes all she could do be weak in order to break down and cry
