Humanity has lost faith in itself
It is not in the center of the world
The solar system the galaxy
The universe the multiverse-

It is not the single separately created creature
It is not the only species
That has dominated the earth-

In some way
It is already less intelligent
Than its own creations
And expects one day
They will be so far beyond us
They will tolerate us
If we are lucky-

Humanity has lost faith
In its own time
Which is so small
Compared to all that has been and will -

Humanity no longer knows why
God Who Created so much
Should care if this little bit
Needs God and loves God so much

Humanity may wonder
May pray to God still
But it is not sure it is chosen and loved
As it once believed itself to be-
