Hurt Poem by Rebecca Hall

Hurt

Arms raised
Legs spread
Hearts beating
Breathing sped
Muffled screams
Broken trust
Shattered soul
Crushed dreams
Denied rights
Burning sensations
“Please stop! ”
“Little girl,
Shut up!
Hold still!
Our secret?
You tell,
You die!
So….
Our secret? ”
Nods head
“Good.”
Gets up
And leaves
She huddles
And cries
All night
By herself
All alone…
