Hurting Heart Poem by Jan Jarnigan

Hurting Heart

Rating: 5.0

The hurting heart knows pain
And it flows from the deepest
Well of human existence.
A heart that knows it cannot have
The fulfillment of its desire
Is a lonely heart indeed.
So it looks to tranquility
And solitude to appease
Its response - -
Seeing beyond the illusion of
Reality all around.
This hurting heart knows that
It only has now and
What is seen is not necessarily
What is really there.
Hope lies beyond the reach of time,
Grasping the reality beyond
The illusion of perception.

A heart that knows it cannot have The fulfillment of its desire Is a lonely heart indeed. So it looks to tranquility And solitude to appease.. very true.. it is a true human reaction. our wishes and hopes and desires are not fulfilled...... then naturally we tend to be alone and try to find peace in tranquil moods. thank you very much. tony
