Hush Up And Stop Whining Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Hush Up And Stop Whining

Rating: 5.0

Will you hush up.
And stop whining.
You act as if,
Your foot...
Is the first and only foot,
I took the liberty to step on...
Purposely.
Look around.
Don't you want to fit in,
With the others limping?
It was you not me,
Begging for equality.
Now that you have it,
You are not satisfied.
I've given to you,
What you've come to me...
Asking for.
I give it to you.
And what do you do?
Want that.
To then want something more.
What will it take,
That will make you...
Stay happy?
Both feet to limp on?
Then what next?
A back to bend?
With a shoulder to cry on?
What on God's Earth,
Do you take me for?
A sympathizing, empathetic...
Good will doer?
Haven't I done enough of that,
For you to prove it?

Hush Up And Stop,
That Whining.
I have a reputation to keep.
And maintain.
But No!
You want to ruin it.
You want the others to see,
Just how warm I can be.
Under the most,
Stressful of situations.

What in the World,
Is going on these days?
People want THIS!
TO THEN WANT THAT!
Never, ever...to be satisfied!
