I Am Poem by Hyde

I Am

I am a small red pinwheel
stuck in the ground of life
spin spin spin spin spin with the wind
slowly stop, and wait for another gust.

I am a dream catcher
woven together with strands of love
darkness catches and tangles with the folds of my inner soul
whilst the light and good fortune filters through to be enjoyed by my surroundings.

I am a road of uncanniness
footsteps are nonexistent upon my twisted path of mind
lofty trees enclose me in my own shadows of the past
but up ahead there is a blinding light, there for me whenever I feel lost.

I am an arctic fox
cold and alone in the universe
searching for my loved ones
tear.

I am a shoelace
torn and frayed to the untrained eye
but inside I feel strong, and held together
and yet I can be cut to pieces with your common kitchen knife.
