I Am A Soldier Poem by Sumaiya Gul

I m a soldier caught
In the troubles of war
And ruins of battle
I want to survive
To see my brotherz
Held victorious
But all's so doubtful
So unobvious
I can niether see the horizon
Nor the ground meeting it
My soul is leaving me
My life is being defeated
So violently so rashly
I see death's taking me
Because all's so dark
And my vission blurred
I can see the foggy images
Of my brothers falling in the darkness,
With their eyez fixed and heartz cold
I am going to die
Because i see the trickle of blood
Oozing out of my chest
My only wish to see my COUNTRY
Free from ruin n trouble
All those whom i am leaving behind
Oh Lord! bless them all
Illuminate their hearts
Their very soul
Give them valour and courage
Make them able
And well enough
To defend their Country
And fullfill my wish.
