I Am As Three Poem by Melissa June

I Am As Three

Locked in this room, you hold us against our will
Restrained, for you say we have caused mayhem
None of us are accepted, Anna, Marry, and Jill
Combined into one body, I am all of them
We now sit in a small room, feeling entombed
Scared and cold, there's barely any air
Our body will be free, from here, we will be exhumed
One day soon, to be awaken, from this nightmare
We are sorry, for not knowing, being as three was a danger
Hear our struggle, if you could see us weep
Everything is a blur
Heavily medicated, why do you make us sleep
We are, who we are
Stop trying, to make us as one
Nothing can help us, your going to far
For this is god's will, that can not be undone
When we awaken, Anna, Marry and Jill
We will still be
Tortured and punished, for being ill
Our screams never heard, we are the personalities from room three zero three.
