It was about fortnight I hardly sat with my diary and pen
As I was busy celebrating the festival that went on for days in ten
It was a great time
Life seemed fine
Away from the daily chores it was a time to initiate a new beginning
My heart leaped up as I stared singing
Music was in the air
Laughter and life blossomed every where
Goddess Durga and her family seated on the thrones brought awe and smile in every face
With folded palms bowed and my worries i could not trace
Yes I enjoyed myself amidst friends and neighbors
And I lost all my fears
The belief that the Goddess would bless us all
We need not worry of our fall
She is there to take care of us
She is here inside our hearts and with her we are in touch
Always forever and win her favor
Even when 'am back treading the same track
With my diary and pen am back once again
festivity are a means to sneak peek....from the mundane......diary and its pages...
The surrender before goddess and a poem created in that devotion.

Hi Rimni, Beautiful poem. Reminding me of my few days in Kolkata during one Durga Pooja and the three years when I looked forward to the Ganeshotsav Season in Pune. Festivities, dance and songs are one side. On the other side, there is the spiritual dividend. Loved the poem. Thank you.10++
