You speak to me as if you know me
As if you know my hopes and dreams
You make this life seem so very easy
But I'm smart enough to know all is not what it seems.

You hide behind an undefined mask everyday
Showing no sign of all the pain you feel
I wish there was something I could do, I could say
To make you trust me enough to brake your emotional seal.

You make a silent retreat behind closed doors.

You remove your mask that is soaked with tears
I understand this pain you can bare no more,

For I was once there. But now, for you, I am Here.
