I Am Just A Victim

Rating: 5.0

I Am Just a Victim
Folarin Akin

I am not a boy
I am not a son
I am not a man
I am not a father

I am not a religion
I am not from a clan
I am not a colour
I am not from a continent

I am not a brother
I am not a friend
I am not a rival
I am not a stranger

I am just a victim
I cannot be more
I cannot be less
That is what I am

II
So poor I couldn't afford to make a choice
How else would I be in this hoax
The division the revulsion in lewdness
We're pawn yes all the nobles and lowly

We take sides in clashes we know nothing of
All we know is what we're told
That dusky is bad and bleached is good
Helpless they use us to force us accept

I don't want a role in this movie
We are all we have
Don't tag me with a choice I didn't make
Cause I am just a victim
