I Am Just Tired Poem by Randy McClave

I Am Just Tired

Why don't I have a Girlfriend someone asked me
And if I did where is she,
Why don't I have a girlfriend who I can call my own
Who I could share my life, my joy and my home.
I replied with a smile the answer is quiet simple
Then a gave a smirk showing off my dimple,
The reason I don't have a girlfriend as I once desired
It's all because, I am now tired.

I am tired of all the lies that has been told
I am tired of being controlled,
And I am tired of the broken promises and cheating
And I am tired of the competing.
I am tired of being ignored and forgotten about
I am tired of always bailing her out,
And I am tired of all the games and being used
I am tired of being falsely accused.
I am tired of waiting for a call
Hoping and waiting and it never happens at all,
I am tired of the promises that she had swore
And I am tired of waiting for a knock on my door.

Why I don't have a girlfriend those are the answers why
I had them before, but now them I just deny,
They cause to much worries and to much stress
While others they seemingly need and want to impress.
They want to always put others in front of me as they did
Love and joy for me they just hid,
They are toxic, manipulative, cold and later uninspired
And now, I am just tired.
