The days are gray
The nights are long

I am lonely at heart
I am at home alone

Watching the clock
Clicking on the wall

No friends, no company
No one knocks on the door

I gaze at the empty sky
Looking through the window

For the birds to sing
to cheer my soul

The few pages of life
are flipped one by one

My loved ones have departed
They are not a with me

I am harvesting the pain
I am very sad and alone
