I Am Really Caught In You (Free Verse Sonnet) Poem by Gert Strydom

I am so deeply caught in you
that we do breathe together,
as if for years I am a part of your body
and in your humanity I am totally lost,
as if together we come to the Lord in prayer
while deep in each other we feed our hunger,
where nobody and nothing has to rescue us from this
as all holy beautiful things are in His will
and like wings you do carry me higher up
as if moments do become eternal between us,
and I can feel your heart beating together with mine
when we do pour our souls and bodies into each other:
you are the pattern and form, in which I am,
to my life the whole goal and all meaning of it.
