I am Satisfied
I am satisfied with the mercy of God
So glad He rescued me
From the sins that held me captive
Praise God for Calvary
I never knew how dark the night
That was engulfing me
Nor how strong the tentacles of sin
Would keep me from being free
But then I heard the story of Jesus
How that He died for me
And of the grave where they laid Him
This was all new to me
Then I saw my sin clearly
Even though through weeping eyes
How could I refuse such wonderful love
Surely it would be my demise
Then emptiness became my fulfillment
The tomb had no body to bare
When they went looking for Jesus
Praise God... He wasn't there!
The Lord had become Resurrection
For up from the grave He arose
Openly declaring to his disciples
I have defeated all foes
O yes satisfied am I
That God came looking for me
And set His affection upon my soul
Extending to it His mercy
And dealt with my sin upon the cross
By placing there His own dear Son
Grace still available and mercy abundant
Come and believe on this One!
