I Am Sorry Poem by Mlondi Mdluli

I Am Sorry

Forgive me but don't judge me, I have a tendency to forget those that forget me. I am sorry that i passed you by without waving goodbye. I am sorry that all did was smile when you lie. I am sorry that am weak and asking for forgiveness. Sadness replaced gladness for that am sorry. Hurry and give me a hug.

Am sorry that I had pride I couldn't hide. Am sorry that I didn't see you today or the day before. Am sorry that yesterday I brought tears instead of roses. For forgiveness I pledge. I lost my edge during my late age. I have changed and so have you. It's been a while since I had a descent chat with you. Am sorry I wasn't there for you.

Accept my condolences for your broken heart. Am a human so am far from bieng bieng perfect, but that's not my excuse. I hope You forgive me for all the bad I did and I'll always treasure all the things you did. I was blind indeed. Am a little stronger now, its okay if you reject my sensire apology I'll live with the burdened shame of rejection. Renowned for stupidity for hurting an innocent heart, but am sorry.
