I Can't Do This Poem by Skylark Woodrow

I Can't Do This

I want my peace,
Just let me die.
Dear God, why do you keep me alive?
I've been ready for the end since practically the beginning,
And I've never had the heart for this thing called living.
There's too much pain,
Too much hurt,
And I can't see how to make it all work.

God, what am I supposed to do?
I'm trying to trust in you,
But when I'm hurting the most, I feel all alone.
Where are you God?
I need you,
Right here,
With me;
Because I can't do this on my own.
