I Don'T Fit In Poem by Richie Branner

I Don'T Fit In

Little fish in deepest ocean
On the edge and looking in
The harder i try to steer ship
the harder I'm left in a spin

The further i try to run away
The higher the wall it grows
The beach is wet with seaweed
A stench that never goes

I wait for rising sun
But it only sets in west
Looking at the clock
Time is just a test

Alienated and ostracised
Morph into an ugly swan
No longer part of special click
No battles can be won

Bruised fruit can be bitter
The ugly ones have pip
Dont mix chalk and cheese
Is my greatest tip

Nomadic warrior I become
No place to call my home
So I can't be difficult
If you leave me on my own

I needn't cry it's over
Always smile cos I'm there
Expect the unexpected
And ignore all this despair

I'm different in so many ways
The shepherd I can't follow
This lost sheep survives each day
An existence through tomorrow
