I Don'T Mind Poem by MckennaElsie levitt

I Don'T Mind

Rating: 5.0

I don’t mind a little change,
Even from the sun I’ll take the rain,
Every now and again

But I feel completely turned around,
Don’t know where I am now
Don’t know which way is the ground

Cause its brand new
And I’ll admit I’m a little bit scarred
But its like tying shoes
Once you’ve done the loop, you just gotta pull through
And everyday I pray it gets easier to do

I was ok in my little space
Until the anchor dropped in place
And started tugging on my leg

I was ok if I didn’t move,
But that’s the only thing I wanna do
Simply cause im not allowed to

I like this poem a lot. I love the part where you say 'it's like tying a shoe, once you get the loop, you pull through'. Very clever and eloquent at the same time. It's a very heartfelt poem. Thank you for sharing it with us.
