I Don’t Want To Live With Borders Poem by Gergana Petrova

I Don’t Want To Live With Borders

Rating: 5.0

I don’t want to live with borders
to depend on situations, time, people, lows.
To keep the rules of many orders,
to ask questions, which answer no one knows.

I don’t want the life in chains
to depend on airports, directions, traffic, calls.
Want to feel the blood inside my veins
when I reach my hands to touch no walls.

I don’t want to live with bridges
to depend on distance, weather, land and gates.
Want to climb my own ridges,
I don’t want to miss the special dates.

I don’t want to live in lines
to depend on country, passport, windows, case.
Want to paint on the way my signs
to go and find my secret place.

(In a world with no walls and borders, who needs windows and gates?)

A lovely thought... It'd be so much easier to live without borders if only we didn't build so many walls... >^.Karl!

You have such an uplifting and un-european imagination. It is so refreshing and positive. I'm not a great John Lennon fan (Oh horror!) , but 'I don't want to live with borders' would fit straight into 'Imagine'. You truly are a 'sunny girl'. You make freedom seem important again! . Thanks. jim

this is a great poem but every thing we need, is: to be free in cage not from cage! every human escapes from true freedom.they need walls to depend on........
