I dreamed I was climbin
up Tom Roche's mountain
and high on the top
there was roses all red

I picked six for Mary
and six more for Sary
and 1 for the girl
I was goin to wed.

One rose for the girl
that I'm goin to marry
one rose for the girl
that I'm goin to wed

for one rose is more
than a full dozen roses
when true love goes with it
and true words are said.
