I Feel So Naked Without A Phone Poem by Melanie Emikohe

I Feel So Naked Without A Phone

Rating: 5.0

Non-living bff

fully charged if I anticipate
to be stranded in tax-funded
service areas

like a Revenue room on a Friday
an hour before closing

and

to avoid awkward silence
or looking stupid
from gazing at mid-air
eyes planted to the screen

We do need our screens don't we, even the one I am using now, to feel real. A 10
