I Had A Dream........ Poem by Neeharika Sharma

I had a dream
It was unusual
Reminded of my duties
And responsibilities
Above all,
Gave me a lesson for life

I feel
I have some get-togethers to attend
Coz all I saw was
Relatives and friends

It was like a spontaneous idea
A wish granted from a “ginnie”
Ohhh! ! !
I saw myself “dead”
But
It was wonderful and not tragic
As instead of going to heaven
I came back on earth

Felt as the time has arrived
When I could do anything I want
Move freely and talk endlessly
………………………………..

For past one year
I was studying for an exam
Was not able to give time to anyone
Then,
One fine day, something happened
And I was “FREE” like a bird

There were no books to study
No jobs left to be completed
No place out of my reach

The same day my cousin came and said
Darling, finally today
You are with me
I am feeling good
Even though you are no more
At least now we both have time to talk

I woke up and saw myself in a mirror
To my surprise
I had a glow on my face
Full of satisfaction

I realized that this is a signal from the one
Whose blessings we always seek
He gave me a lesson
That in the race of life
We tend to leave our dear ones behind
No matter we realize it or not
We engage ourselves in work
Forgetting the eternal happiness
Which we get
By just sitting with them
By talking to them

Wish every one can realize it
Before it gets too late
Before one closes eyes…..
