I Have Got It Now, At Last, God Poem by Diana van den Berg

I have got it now, finally, God.
He is doing me no good.
Well, I got it long ago
And I even admitted it to myself,
But my love for him
Kept me feeling concerned
For his feelings.
I will try to write him no more poetry
Nor post any I wrote to him
That I haven’t yet posted
Nor answer his desire
For continued emails
Between us.

Please keep him
In Your loving care
And may he turn
To You.
