I Have Seen Too Many Old Friends Die



I Have Seen Too Many Old Friends Die

I have seen too many old friends die
I have visited too many hospitals
I have cheered up as best I can - too many times
I have watched helplessly
their pain and degradation
too many times.

I have had enough.

I don't want to see another friend die
and I don't want to die
in such a terrible way either.

I have seen too much-
Tomorrow I will make another visit-
