I honestly tried

Yes dream was shattered
Not to remain rosy but completely altered
I was beaten to death
And taken out flesh with teeth

No. it was never expected
Yet he acted
In contrast
For me to act fast

I warned him once
Of very bad consequences
And get prepared
He did not pay any heed and often repeated

I decided to leave my happy home
With no possible return of welcome home
I looked back in disgust
I saw him last

He was not bad
But made me bad
In public eyes
Even as I honestly tried
