I Just Need A Place Poem by Bill Bright

I Just Need A Place

I just need a place
To stop observing my face
Where I worry about dinner
And my thoughts will be inner

I just need a place
For some breathing space
Where there's so much affection
You don't need a direction

I just need a place
Where surroundings embrace
And give clues to the maze
With no need to rephrase

I just need a place
To continue the chase
To find meaning in life
Not distractions and trife

I just need a place
To discover a trace
Where a hug lasts for years
As you gain higher gears

I just need a place
To stop the disgrace
Where depth isn't shallow
And land isn't fallow

To search for this place
It's not easy to face
The sense of not knowing
Which way I am going

And I know that this place
Is flooded with grace
And it may not be distant
But it's not non-existent
