I kissed the girl good morning
I kissed the girl good morning
~
I kissed the girl good morning
Where we lay together
She smiled brightly
It was like the sun rising
My throat croaked a hello darling
A trivial greeting accepted
With another smile
As bright and beautiful as before
I kissed the girl good morning
While she lay in my arms
We lay not talking
Nothing needed to be said
The day would bring its own words
So while we lay resting on a kiss
And a croaky hello darling
I thought to write this
And title it I kissed the girl good morning
