I knew a girl once
A perfect girl
And I know there's no such thing
But she was perfect to me
The prettiest eyes
The prettiest lips
Even the prettiest chin
And it maybe sounds cliche
Because it is
But she was truly beautiful
And all this beauty was just a shell
A casing for the real beauty inside
A beauty, when lost, makes you drift around in a haze
With a cactus ribcage
When each breath
Each extra breath without her hurts
And people say
There's plenty more fish in the sea
And there surly is
But she was never a fish
Rich flow of thoughts with captivating images. Beautiful love poem, lovely and very passionate. Thanks for sharing.
