I Know Poem by Aidan Kowe

I Know

I might not seem like it,
But I know…
Things about you.

You might be ashamed to tell me about them,
The untold lies…
The sins from the past.

But I know,
The secrets you've kept from me…

I might not seem like it,
‘Cos you think I'm naïve and innocent,
You think of me as pure,
Which I admit I am…
And I'm proud to say that I am in every sense pure,
Untouched.

But, I'm not naïve,
And neither am I that innocent…

I'm just waiting for the time,
When you will revealed yourself to me,
When you will trust me enough,
When you will finally tell me everything about you,
Your past, your present, and your future…

You want me to save you,
You wish for me to protect you,
And my reply?
If you really meant that,
Tell me everything.
