I Know What Love Is

It is not jealous,
and does not envy;
it's not covetous
and it does not conceit.

I Know What Love Is.
love is tender;
it's not pretence;
it wins over anger;
it has unfailing patience.

I Know What Love Is.
it's not pride;
it is kind;
it does not slave for sex;
it brings out the best.

I Know What Love Is.
It has unfailing hope,
and it does not gloat.
It endures all things,
believes and bears all things.

I Know What Love Is.
It is not rude,
neither is it blind.
It is happy with the truth;
it does not lie.

I Know What Love Is.
Love is teamwork;
it does not keep secretes.
It gives strength,
and also brings peace.

I Know What Love Is.
Love is humility.
It brings joy to humanity;
it brings unity,
and it lasts to infinity.

I Know What Love Is.
Love does not irritate.
Of course it does not hate!
It bears no malice;
it is a symbol of maturity.

I Know What Love Is.
I have lived it, felt it, and have dined with it.
So you can't tell me nothing about it.

I Know What Love Is.
Love does not tear apart,
it does no harm,
but rather, it mends the heart
You don't need to tell me what love is.
I knew it even before i had my first kiss.
It is powerful and can even work miracles

Oh! Love...... I need you...

poet Ambrose Bierce

by Ambrose Bierce

Once I dipt into the future far as human eye could see,
And I saw the Chief Forecaster, dead as any one can be--
Dead and damned and shut in Hades as a liar from his birth,
