I'Ll Hold My Head High Poem by Silence Dogood

I'Ll Hold My Head High

Rating: 5.0

I try not to care.
But it only hurts more.
I try to hold my head.
But its hard to ignore.

I hear them laughing.
Like a soundtrack to my life.
I can see them staring.
Blue eyes sharp as a knife.

They're all so beautiful.
Holding their heads high.
Like plastic barbie dolls.
Filled with beautiful lies.

They point at my face.
Calling me horrible names.
Bringing me down.
To a level of pain.

I surprise them.
By smiling back a hello.
Holding back the feelings.
That refuse to go.

I stun them to death.
By my sarcastic replies.
Holding in the tears.
Wearing my disguise.

Its worth it all.
To show them im strong.
I'll make them think twice.
For what they said was wrong.

I'll never let them know.
The pain they've caused.
I'll hold my head high.
Break all the laws.

They'll say their words.
Act like that causes me pain.
I'll hold my head high.
While they call me names.
