'cause I've learned to lie
you're best off unknowing
and let your own heart sing

we'll live day to day
one the inside it's killing
a fragile heart beating

with summer in time
peace falls into line
as day falls tonight
with a kiss it's alright
counting the hours
this world is ours
I'll take you by hand
we'll fly and not land

you said I was the only one
you said I take away all your fears

it's winter this time
I'm shaking in mind
I'm pressed on the wall
I'll dial, but won't call
Obsession consumes me
unlike you, it won't leave me
why did this happen

playing in the snow
I'd hate to watch you go
I'd never leave a pretty face
memories you can't erase
the road passes by and by
I promised I wouldn't cry
