I love my village
Memory pushes me back to child age
Lovely people and lovable attitude
Till date I miss and pay the gratitude
Still people call by pet name
I feel elated with their simple fame
It has sweetness and purity in tone
I wish and pray for days to be back that have gone
“Have small bite” neighbor may offer
If ever visited at lunch time or dinner
No restriction for visiting hour
To play and create noise was fault minor
Parents too were safe and worry free
As no danger was expected for us to flee
It was open sky and village was small
We were all in nature’s refuge and obeyed call
Green fields and gentle wind made us healthy
Love was in abundance and never in scarcity
Everybody was known with complete history
Festivals were celebrated and all were happy
Never came there any bitter feeling
People used to wonder morning and evening
Even though the living was simple
I must admit people were god fearing and noble
When world has gone crazy about peace
I compare the life and prefer to stay at ease
One thing has fascinated me forever
“Simple living” and I feel delighted as an observer

feeling delighted as an observer, I like it, living in detachment. Tyaktwena bhunjitwa.
