I Love You Poem by Raymond Rivera

I Love You

Rating: 5.0

It's been almost
two years now
since you first
caught my eye.

With a curvaceous body
and a long neck,
it's no wonder
why I thought of you
as being so
intimidating.

But even so,
I found the need
to get acquainted,
with no intentions
of having it last as long
as it has.

I still remember, though.
I was a lost boy
looking for a more meaningful purpose,
other than getting high
all my days.

And you were willing
to help.

So I started spending
everyday
in your infinite
embrace,
locked in my room,
for hours on end.

Never once did you ask me
if I wanted to get wasted.

At first
I thought I was stupid
because I did not even know
how to touch you.

Every time I tried
you'd drastically change your tone,
telling me
I wasn't doing it right,
leaving me frustrated,
and wanting to
dispose of you.

But as time passed by
I still found the need
to keep coming back.
And before long
I was doing
beautiful things
with you.

It's unbelievable
how complex
yet undeniably
simple you are.

I don't think I'll ever
know everything about you,
but I'll keep learning
every single day
for the rest
of my
entire life.

From the bottom
of my heart,
thank you
for bringing me
so much joy.

This poem is for you
which is silly
because,
it's just common sense that
a guitar can not read.

I loved this one! I laughed out loud at the end of it. Very nice job, I was thoroughly convinced it was about a girl and found myself really getting into it and relating and then the end came out of nowhere. Hah, great job mate.
