I Love You. Poem by Solomon Bright Dankwa

I Love You.

Rating: 4.8

I love you,
Not because you are beautiful.
I love you,
Not because your eyes are wonderful.
I love you,
Not because you are wealthy.
I love you,
Not because you are healthy.

I love you,
Not because you are intelligent.
I love you,
Not because you are diligent.
I love you,
Not because you are good.
I love you,
Not because I am in the mood.

I love you,
Not because you are kind.
I love you,
Not because you are in my mind.
I love you,
Not because you are fair.
I love you,
Not because you care.

I love you,
Not because I am black.
I love you,
Not because you love back.
I love you,
Not because you are coy.
I love you,
Not because I am a boy.

But I love you,
Because I love.

A lovely poem, well articulated and insightfully penned to capture the spiritual aspect of the love which resides in the inner recesses of the poet's heart. A nice one indeed. Thanks for sharing and do keep it up. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

Towards hers your heart is warm, for she so tender has fired you to adore her as heaven. Keep the inspiration in your heart. Thanks.
