I Love You Poem by David Miao

How does one describe this complex feeling inside?
To say it as mere words would be as if I lied
For it does not even come close to how I feel in my heart
Nevertheless I shall try to explain through this form of art

When I see you walking towards me, everybody else fades
You are like a bright star that puts other people into the shade
Your beauty is astounding, it makes my heart ache
As special and unique as a single snow flake

Yet you are so much more than simply a pretty girl
Blessed with a witty mind, which makes my head twirl
You are always there with your deep sense of care
Like a guardian angel, hanging in the air.

Before our conversations, I did not really believe in fate
Yet the similarities between us, certainly give it weight
But what is more important are the little things you do
They give me an insight, a tiny little view

Into that heart of yours, a most sacred land to me
I hope there is a place, a little room for mine to be
I guess what I have been trying to say
Can also be put in this simple way
