Your calls I hear, muted by stifled tears,
Whispered as soft as rain, that leaves retain,
And now that Fate favors, our luck appears,
Perhaps to stay, bring happy days again?
If once, you've moaned by firesides all alone,
This time, by your side I have found my throne;
On many nights, the moon has seen your plight,
No loving arms to hold as dreams unfold,
It served me right, in having trained my sight,
On bronze of world, when here with you is gold,
I'm back today, with all our dignity,
To claim our share of love's eternity;
I'll ride upon your sighs for yonder skies,
And scale Heavenly bliss, warmed by your kiss,
If not, I'll glide with smiles, the way bird flies,
For happiness that all our hearts can wish;
Our song can't stop while guitar chords I pluck,
Now that I'm back, to bask in both our luck.
