I'm Free There Poem by Shyam Chakraborty

I'm Free There

Rating: 5.0

In body and mind
with life I'm assigned
the bondage of the seers
in which I'm confined.
I'm very much of flesh and blood
smeared in clayey mud
Though still they say
I'm a flower bud
from inside
where the Eternal reside...

I could not celibate
nor in fleeting lust
I could celebrate
nor could in me
the four paths of Truth
could culminate...

the books of duality
and non-duality
I could only accumulate
nor could I remain in the path
to mediate...

but there is love, may be Love
which I can perceive
which nobody can achieve
nor can it do anything
but without which
life is nothing...

that Love of Mother
not as primal power
nor as supreme power
but Unconditional Love...
in front of That
there is neither seer nor sinner
but the Ganges manifest
as sincere drop of tear

I'm free there
I'm free there
in the affectionate
Lap of my Mother.
