I’m Happy With Plan Old Me Poem by Joubert Beaubrun

I’m Happy With Plan Old Me

I’m not a model
I’m not a role model
I can’t sing
I won’t make it on American Idle
I wonder if I can send God a message in a bottle
I could then ask for some talents and good looks
I’m tired of being plain old me
I know that there’s got to be a way for me to become a star
Without making a wish upon a star
I’m not really complaining as long as I’m not behind bars
I had a dream that I was cruising down sunset blvd in a Bentley
My name was Tom Cruise
I was making a million dollar monthly
If only that was real
Then I would be the men
I still have faith
That one day I’ll be the guy that I wish I was
In the mean time
I’m happy with plan old me
