I'm So Sorry
Sorry I’m not gorgeous
That I’m nowhere near perfect
That no one ever wants me
That I’m just another reject
Sorry you’re not happy
Sorry I can’t fix the past
I’m sorry I’m not the smartest
And that I sometimes talk to fast
Your words burn
They cut like shattered glass
I hate seeing your face
Every single day in class
Like a memory to kill
Like a fire to tame
I know that since you got with her
We’ll never be the same
I’m sorry I can’t be like her
That I’m not all you ever wanted and more
That I couldn’t do anything to stop you
From walking out that door
