I'm Your Little Girl Poem by Margarita Cortés

I'm Your Little Girl

A small hand looking for safety
A small child looking for a hug
A little girl looking to her father
Just wanting to be loved

Hold that little hand
Kiss that little head
Tell her that you love her
Tell her what is best

She's looking for your approval
'Daddy look at me
She's wishing that you noticed
how lonely she truly is

However you look at it
However you think it is
You didn't love me always
But I forgive you dad
I always loved you and now I love me
